Episcopal Elections
Church of Ireland
The Church of Ireland House of Bishops elected, on 13 March, the Venerable
Ken Good, Archdeacon of Dromore, as Bishop of Derry and Raphoe to succeed Bishop James Mehaffey who retired in January. Archdeacon Good, 49,
is presently Rector of Shankill Parish, Lurgan. Todays election passed to the House of Bishops when the Episcopal Electoral College
for Derry and Raphoe Diocese failed to make an appointment at its meeting on 1 March 2002.
