What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks' worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site, and it can also search all of the sites to which we link.

Exchanges
Amsterdam -> Seattle/Vancouver
'I'm a curate in Amsterdam and will be on holiday in USA/Canada in July 2003. Looking for a house swap only—no duties—in either the Seattle area (or Eastside) or Vancouver (Burnaby/Abbotsford). Our suburban 3 bedroom home is 20 minutes from the center of Amsterdam. Car swap also a possibility. Contact Howie Adan at howie@christchurch.nl (church website at: www.christchurch.nl)'.

Canada -> England
'Rector of the historic gold rush of 1898 church in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada, is interested in an exchange to England for 4 to 6 weeks in the summer of 2003. Late spring or early fall also can be considered to avoid high season air fares. Duties would include two Eucharists per Sunday and a mid-week service at the local nursing home. Duties are much reduced in summer and there is a retired priest in the town and a couple of Licensed Lay Ministers. Vehicle will be made available. Interested clergy should be prepared for the costs of travel to this far Northern but exciting place. Opportunities for local travel and excursions are unlimited. Contact Archdeacon John Tyrrell at jtyrrell@cityofdawson.ca'.

At the center of our life is the Eucharist, Daily Office, Intercessory prayer, and a commitment to responding to the needs of the Church on the parish level'. (Note: Alas, be prepared for a long download, with the front page at more than 500K. The culprit this time isn't a large graphic but the extraordinarily bloated HTML code created by 'Microsoft Publisher'.)
