What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site, and it can also search all of the sites to which we link.

Lists, Web Forums
Anglican Birders listserv: 'Members of the worldwide Anglican Communion who take the observation of Proverbs seriously: "There are four things that are too mysterious for me to understand: an eagle flying in the sky... [Proverbs 30:19a]. A list for Anglicans fascinated by the birds of the air in any way'.

Liturgical resources
Revised Common Lectionary on your desktop:
'Put (shortened) lectionary readings on your desktop with a link to the full lectionary readings. Or add the readings to your websites by adding just a few lines of code to your HTML'. The feeds are currently the Authorised Version, but the developer hopes to obtain permission to switch over to NRSV. Very clever. Alas, at the present time, only works for PCs, not Macs, and only in Windows 2000 and XP.

Music
An enquiry from an AO reader. Can any musicians assist? If so, write to the enquirer directly.

'I am a church musician in the United States who is now involved with an instrumental ensemble. I know about bands from performing in high school, but have come to recognize the dearth of material for instrumental ensembles, especially woodwind ensembles, performing for a church function. I was wondering if anyone had any information about or music for a church instrumental ensemble. Thank you. Musicalise@aol.com'.

Worth Noting
The Devil is Real: The Reverend Lloyd Prator, an Episcopal priest in the USA, writes at beliefnet.com: 'I was skeptical about whether the exorcisms I performed were doing anything—until an unseen force grabbed my hand'.

Looking for God in the Details at Ground Zero: David W Dunlop asks, in the New York Times, whether God has a place at ground zero.
