What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site and also many important official Anglican sites worldwide.

Western Australia: Boyup Brook, St Saviour (Bunbury)

The Hutchins School. Tasmania, Hobart. K through 12 boys boarding school.
St Mark's Anglican Community Day School. Western Australia, Hillarys. K through 12, co-educational. 'All students attend Christian Studies lessons and Christian values are stressed in all areas of the curriculum. The Christian ethic underpins the whole of School life.'
St Michael's Collegiate School. Tasmania: Hobart. A girls school, Pre-K through 12. We think it's a boarding school, but the website takes so long to load that finding information was painful.

Integrity Vancouver: The Vancouver branch of Integrity. Though this site was created in direct anticipation of the forthcoming Canadian General Synod of the Anglican Church, its goal is to 'better communicate the perspective of many of the Church's lesbian and gay members'.

Discussion lists and web forums
Nicholas' Forum: 'A discussion forum that was primarily Orthodox in nature when it began, but now has more of an Orthodox and Anglican slant. It can be rather lively, but has managed to avoid most of the pitfalls of discussion boards, such as constant sniping and personal attacks. It is moderated.'

Episcopal Scouters discussion forum. One of dozens of lists for scouters, this one is for Episcopalian scouts and scouters. 'Members of Campfire, Girl Scouts and 4-H are also welcome. Any and all are welcome to discuss: Duty to God, Scouting in the Church, the religious emblems program, camp chaplaincy, etc.'

Norfolk, St Mary (Norwich)
Prestwich, St Hilda (Manchester)

Episcopal Elections or Announcements
USA: The Diocese of Western North Carolina elected the Revd Porter Taylor to be its sixth bishop. Details on the diocesan website.

Worth Noting

Making your church inclusive and welcoming to all: Stephen Birchall writes, in the April, 2004 issue of eChurchActive, an overview of the modifications churches need to make them more welcoming to the many people with various disabilities. For useful links and a free download of his book, Disability Discrimination and the Church, visit Stephen Burchall's website. These materials were prepared for churches in the UK to meet the newly amended Disability Discrimination Act but they will be pertinent to churches round the Anglican Communion.
