What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site and also many important official Anglican sites worldwide.

Worth Noting
Hope the Archbishop: A Portrait, by Rob Marshall, is reviewed by John Pridmore in this week's Church Times. 'The Archbishop of York is about to swap Bishopsthorpe for Ilkley Vicarage, a translation that he looks forward to as eagerly as do his future parishioners. It is a good moment to give them -- and the rest of us -- a picture of the man they’re getting as their next Vicar'.

Theology in Stone: Church Architecture from Byzantium to Berkeley, by Richard Kieckhefer, is reviewed in the Church Times by Julian Litten. Kieckhefer 'focuses on the theological meanings and liturgical uses of churches. Matters such as structural development are not discussed, and questions of architectural style are of secondary interest except where they bear on theological meaning'.
