COUNSELLING AND PASTORAL CARE is one of the roles that many people find most important in their lives. We list here all of the online resources that might help with the giving or receiving of counselling. We cannot recommend specific counsellors, nor will we suggest online counselling.


40 Days of Discernment
This website, which includes material from the Diocese of Virginia and two parishes in that diocese, 'is dedicated to helping Episcopal congregations and their clergy answer an important question: Can orthodox, biblically committed congregations continue to remain affiliated with The Episcopal Church in the U.S.; or has the time come to seek alternative affiliation with some other branch of Anglicanism?'

Healing Prayer: An On-Line Resource for Christian Healing
Information about organizations that provide education, training, or information about Christian healing; links to parishes or churches with active healing ministries and to hospitals, medical programs, or service organizations that integrate prayer with the healing process; and a calendar of events showing workshops, classes, conferences, and healing missions; and recommended reading list.

Institute for Servant Leadership
'An educational ministry exploring servant leadership as modeled by Jesus of Nazareth, its mission is 'to provide opportunities for the spiritual formation and leadership development of people who are called to be servant leaders. Its work and focus is that of convener, teacher and nurturer through conferences, retreats, pilgrimages and publications.'

The Institute for the Study of Spirituality and Trauma
'Of interest to anyone ministering as a chaplain and/or in response to disaster, life-threatening experiences, mass casualty events, trauma, "critical incident stress management," etc. It includes information about "Trauma Pastoral Care", a model for ministry in the special circumstances of acute pastoral care and ministry of presence with victims and their care givers'.
