Computer software
Parish growth, Stewardship

Computer Software

ACS Technologies

volunteer organization and backing up your data (essential activity overlooked by too many). ACS has been specializing in churche software since 1978.You can download their Church Brochure (PDF 488 Kb).

Church Software Review
Despite its name, this is not a review of available software; it's a list of the top products. 'There are many Church Management products on the market today, most of them range from "pretty bad" to "really bad" products... Nonetheless, if you are in the market for a Church Management Software solution - here are some of the popular products on the market.'

ChurchPro Church Management Software
'All members of the ChurchPro and SchoolPerfect team are former or present church staff members committed to the church. Many have advanced seminary degrees in church administration, Biblical studies, adult education and stewardship development. No other organization can make this claim. We know the church and we want to be helpful to you.'

Churchsoftware.com
'Affordable, quality software for churches and nonprofit organizations. Whether you are organizing membership records, processing donor contributions, or looking for a good fund accounting system to help in your church's bookkeeping, "Church Management Tracking System" (CMTSTM for Windows®) can more than meet your needs.

'Ministry Scheduler'
A set of software programmes 'that automates scheduling of all ministries for all church services, so family members are no longer serving at different services'. They have additional programmes: Ministry Notifier, Event Scheduler, and Ministry Reminder. Demo CDs available. Prices vary and the programmes are Windows only.

Oregon Historical Cemeteries Association
Interesting and informative site with a good set of links to other sites on old cemeteries and their restorations dos and don'ts.

A server scheduling programme
A free Windows-only program. The Church Volunteer Scheduler 'is typically used to make service schedules for Ushers, Greeters, Choir, Organist, Musicians, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors or Readers, Altar Servers, Offertory Family, Nursery Attendants, and any other Ministries that are needed at Church Service or Mass.'

Parish growth, Stewardship

The Alban Institute (US)
A well-known organisation in the States with strong links to the Episcopal Church. It offers a variety of resources for parish administration and education.

Congregational Development (The Episcopal Church USA)
Site includes materials on growth and stewardship. 'We hope to provide basic information to help leaders in congregations and dioceses develop stewardship programs that help carry out the work God is calling them to do. You'll find PDF files of resources that have been used successfully'.

The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (US)
An association of people interested in stewardship in the church. Their purpose is to provide stewardship resources (print, video, electronic and personal consultation services) to each of the 7,500 congregations of the Episcopal Church.

European Church Partnership 'There are many Agreements between national Churches in Europe. These Agreements offer possibilities for Local Partnerships across Europe. Church Twinning is a first practical grass-roots step towards Partnership. Here you will find ideas and resources to help you begin or keep you going.'

Living Stones Consultancy (UK)
'We aim to help churches to make the most effective use of their resources—buildings, money and people—in worship of God and in service to their local community. Most people think of the Church as a building, but this understanding falls a long way short. The Church is a body, growing out of God's eternal purpose to reconcile humanity to himself.'

Remembrancers Cards for use in pastoral ministry. 'I have been a Vicar for 25 years, and whenever I've wanted to let someone know they were in my thoughts and prayers, I've usually sent them a card. To begin with I used to buy cards, but more often that not, there was something 'not quite right' either with the words inside the card or the picture on the front!'

A Stewardship Web Site (US emphasis)
Ted Mollegen is a devoted layperson (and ECUSA General Convention deputy) from the Diocese of Connecticut with a passion for stewardship. He's assembled a web page full of information and links to stewardship resources, and he includes some of his own reflections about the nature of giving
