History Massachusetts a Field for Church Missions, by Frederic Dan Huntington (1863). Huntington (1819-1904) was the first Bishop of Central New York. In this long sermon written before his consecration Huntington asks whether the 'extension of the Gospel and Church of Christ in our own territory is an obligation resting upon us'. Elections or Announcements During its annual episcopal retreat held 8-13 January 2007, the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) elected 19 new bishops for new dioceses and one archbishop for the Niger Delta Ecclesiastical Province. Their names have not been released. Europe Ireland Letters
