What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site and also many important official Anglican sites worldwide. If you still can't find it, please let us know.

If you would like your website listed here, please use this form to tell us about it.

Book Reviews
Evangelical and Evolving: Following the Gospel in a Changing World, by Colin Craston, is reviewed by Gavin Reid. 'This is a good book for those of any tradition to read. My fear is that those who most need to face its questions will be those who think it virtuous to avoid them.'

G.K. Chesterton: Thinking Backward, Looking Forward, by Stephen R.L. Clark, is reviewed by Raymond Edwards. 'One might accuse him [Clark] of wandering beyond his subject; but it would be fairer to say that he has written the sort of book about Chesterton that Chesterton might have written himself.'

A Heart in my Head: A Biography of Richard Harries, by John S. Peart-Binns, is reviewed by John Whale. A somewhat weighty biography of an interesting and important bishop who now sits in the House of Lords.

Recollections of a Sussex Parson, by Edward Boys Ellman, is reviewed by Adam Ford. 'These Recollections, republished to mark the centenary of the death of the Rector of Berwick (a church well known later for its connections with Charleston and the Bloomsbury set), offer a delightful insight into 19th-century parochial life.' It sounds delightful.

What I Believe, by Anthony Kenny, is reviewed by T. W. Bartel. 'Virtually all the chapters consist mainly in drastic abridgements, with only modest retouching, of work published elsewhere, much of it in the 1970s and ’80s.'
