Hallo again to all.

We are all too stricken with grief at the imminent passing of Frederic McFarland and consumed with the process of planning his funeral to produce much of an AO issue on this Palm Sunday. Frederic worked tirelessly on our weekly production; he is husband to Cynthia and dear friend and colleague to all of us. As we write this he is in hospice clinging to life by a tiny thread, his body gaunt and comatose. We know he won't last much longer, and we will update this page when he does pass into God's hands. It will surely be early in Holy Week. But we're too busy weeping and praying to write further.

Note added Monday: Frederic McFarland died at 11am Eastern Daylight Time on 17 March 2008. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. His obituary and a photograph are here.

The various internal pages such as the News Centre, Letters to the Editor, Noted This Week, and the many resource pages are as up to date as we've been able to make them this week.

Thank you for your patience. See you when we can.
