Noting Finances and the Lambeth Conference 2008: The Director of 'The Lambeth Company'—who is also the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion—has issued a new release on budget shortfall. 'With a budget of £5.6 million, and in common with previous Conferences, the projection of a deficit in the immediate period following the Conference was always recognised. For an international conference on this scale and taking into account the places from which the participants travelled, England continues to be the most economical place to hold such a gathering and a university campus the most financially viable.' We Support Dave Walker: You may have seen Dave Walker's church cartoons on his website and also linked from Anglicans Online. His friends have created a Facebook social networking group to express their support for his fine work. |

From the Prayer Book Societies at Lambeth website, on which there are several other worthwhile interviews, too. A Press Conference winds it all up: A full audio recording is available from today's Lambeth-ending press conference, chaired by Archbishop Phillip Aspinall of Brisbane with Archbishop Rowan Williams of Canterbury. |
