Noted This Week

WHENEVER WE LEARN about a web site that we haven't previously listed, we note it here. Sometimes such sites are brand new and sometimes they have been around for a while without our having noticed. We list two weeks' worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages. We do not mention on this page remakes of sites that are already in our listings.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site. If you still can't find it, please let us know.

If you would like your website listed at Anglicans Online, please use this form to tell us about it.

Africa
Resources
Friends of Zanzibar Cathedral: 'supports the work of Christ Church Cathedral in Zanzibar'.

Book of Common Prayer
Kitabu cha Sala za Kanuni. Chad Wohlers has digitized the 1919 Book of Common Prayer according to the Use of the Church of Zanzibar. This BCP was influenced heavily in an Anglo-Catholic direction by Frank Weston (1871-1924) and the Universities' Mission to Central Africa. No English translation of the Swahili text was ever published.

Book Reviews
Mark Oakley reviews Living at the Crossroads: An Introduction to Christian Worldview, by Michael Goheen and Craig Bartholomew.

England
Official Information
Senior Appointments. Our friends at Thinking Anglicans note this new 'section of the Church of England website that contains information on the current procedures for the selection of diocesan bishops, suffragan bishops, deans, archdeacons, and residentiary canons'. It strikes us as a fine step in the direction of transparency for a process that has seemed at times opaque.
