Noted This Week

WHENEVER WE LEARN about a web site that we haven't previously listed, we note it here. Sometimes such sites are brand new and sometimes they have been around for a while without our having noticed. We list two weeks' worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages. We do not mention on this page remakes of sites that are already in our listings.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site. If you still can't find it, please let us know.

If you would like your website listed at Anglicans Online, please use this form to tell us about it.

Trinity Church, Wall Street Advent Calendar: 'a calendar that lets the people of the Anglican Communion say to the world, expect hope. In so doing, the people also say – through their actions – that rumors of the Communion’s demise are greatly exaggerated.'

Why We Are Waiting: 'The idea is for people accessing the lively online facility to take five minutes to change the world this Advent by following the 'tread gently' challenges and video stories behind each door. In the launch Archbishop Tutu says: "Care for the world, it is the only one we have."'

Webcast: The annual Advent carol service from the Chapel of St John's College, Cambridge. Broadcast live by the BBC's Radio 3 on Advent I, the service is available for listening on demand via the BBC iplayer until 6 December 2009.

Worth Noting
Archbishop [of Canterbury]'s address at a Willebrands Symposium in Rome: 'The central question is whether and how we can properly tell the difference between 'second order' and 'first order' issues. When so very much agreement has been firmly established in first-order matters about the identity and mission of the Church, is it really justifiable to treat other issues as equally vital for its health and integrity?'
