Noted This Week

WHENEVER WE LEARN about a web site that we haven't previously listed, we note it here. Sometimes such sites are brand new and sometimes they have been around for a while without our having noticed. We list two weeks' worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages. We do not mention on this page remakes of sites that are already in our listings.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site. If you still can't find it, please let us know.

If you would like your website listed at Anglicans Online, please use this form to tell us about it.

Worth Noting
Domus Birretarum: 'an endeavour of love and for entertainment rather than a deeply serious endeavour. We are merely enthusiasts and creators of clerical headgear, usually the more outlandish and unusual the better. We also aim to provide our efforts gratis for those who genuinely cannot afford them, at home or abroad. For those who can afford to pay, we can produce bespoke birettas for the price of materials and a suggested (but optional) amount to keep us going.'

Irish voices on the Covenant: 'The SEARCH Colloquium on "The Proposed Anglican Covenant - a step forward of a step too far?" took place in TCD on Saturday March 12th and has been judged a great success. Over 50 people attended the Thomas Davis Theatre to hear speakers from England, Wales and Ireland (both North and South) consider the decision on our response to the Covenant to be made at the General Synod in Armagh in May.'

'On the second Sunday of Lent, our magnificent English oak collapsed': In Country Life, Carla Carlisle reflects on permanence, anxiety, and whistling in the dark.

A rose by any other name: The Revd Canon Gordon Baker writes a guest reflection in the Anglican Journal: Is it time for a name change from the Anglican Church of Canada to the Episcopal Church of Canada?
