Noting Episcopal Church Courts Latinos: Chris Lehman reports for [American] National Public Radio. 'In Oregon, the number of Latino Episcopalians has increased more than five-fold over the past decade. Church leaders say the influx is, in part, because the denomination's worship services look and sound familiar to Hispanics raised in the Catholic Church. But Northwest Episcopal Churches are luring Latinos with a focused marketing campaign.' Summary of Actions: 'detailing the resolutions, elections and other matters from the 77th General Convention held in July 2012, is now available in English from the [US] Episcopal Church General Convention Office'. |

Noting God still seems to have a use for this Church: Thus saith the Most Revd Katharine Jefferts Schori, Presiding Bishop of the American Episcopal Church. The Young Clergy Women Project: 'a network of the youngest ordained clergy women, defined as those under forty. TYCWP started out in November 2006 as just an idea about getting young ordained women together to talk online. In 2007, TYCWP received a grant from The Louisville Institute that supported our preaching conference, board meeting, and web page. Energy begets energy, and these initial funded programs have generated more ways for young clergy women to connect.' See especially their online journal, Fidelia's Sisters. |
