Deformation and Reformation
Deformation and Reformation: totally delicious! My home village church in Northamptonshire in rural England had been beautifully restored: oak lacework rood screen, plastered walls, reserved sacrament and sanctuary lamp, decorous low oak pews. When I visited it a couple of years ago everything that was beautiful had gone except the ancient stained glass windows. So empty, no numinous, so sad.
Thank you for your always interesting and well-chosen news items and for your thoughtful and stimulating weekly letters.
