This week in the News Centre: Frank Griswold's mother has died of cancer, the secret decision about the Westminster Abbey Organist issue is beginning to leak out, the World Council of Churches' meeting has begun, the BBC takes some more flak, reviews start to roll in about the Church of England's new web site. And Peter Tatchell, the UK's answer to Monica Lewinsky in terms of press coverage, has been found guilty and fined a few pence. All this and more, including a gratuitous reference to Kate Winslet, in this week's News Centre.

There is once again a lot of Anglican news this week, reported in the News Centre. This week seems to focus on New Zealand, but there are stories about gay politics (a new topic in our church), UK Preacher of the Year, Angels, an apology for Bloody Mary (and a movie about her half-sister), and an example of the very descent into paganism that the Bishop of Lincoln was worried about.
