News Centre
Cardinal Basil Hume, leader of the Roman Catholic church in England, has died, and most of the news this week is either about him or about the effects of his life or death. John Naughton has a thoughtful piece in The Observer about online news. Problems for a woman priest at St Paul's Cathedral; a wedding that made international news; the Church Times is less than thrilled with the first report from the Archbishops' Council in England. The Diocese of Connecticut elects its suffragan bishop as diocesan. No organists have committed crimes this week. And there actually is some non-English news in this week's News Centre, but you'll have to go there to find it.
