Indonesia Worth Noting Larry Wall, PERL, and God: In slashdot.org, an interview with the creator of the programming language Perl, who, in Question 7—you'll need to scroll down to it, no anchor, alas—talks about his faith. A lengthy exchange of views on this topic between various readers of Slashdot follows on the interview. If you've never read a Slashdot exchange, well, it's ... words fail. One quick example, from the beginning of an email: 'God didn't create the universe. Well, He did, but not intentionally. God just wanted a beer'. |
Remembrance
of 11 September 2001— resources The most publicised Anglican remembrance service may well be that of Trinity Church, Wall Street in New York. The Archbishop of Canterbury will preach and the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church will be the celebrant of the eucharist. The Lord Mayor of London will also be in attendance. There will be an Evensong at the early (American) hour of 10am, to allow BBC Radio 3 to broadcast the service live at 3pm British Summer Time. Here is the Wednesday schedule for BBC Radio 3. In addition, all services at Trinity Church on 11 September will be streamed live on the web from 1200 to 2400 GMT. This includes services of Morning Prayer, Evensong and Eucharist, as well as musical concerts through the day and presentations by Wall Street banking leaders. Full details here. Articles Articles
