What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site, and it can also search all of the sites to which we link.

World
Africa: The Church in Sudan (unofficial)
The Diocese of Bradford has a companion relationship with four dioceses in the Church in Sudan. These pages, hosted on the Diocese of Bradford site, provide a close look at the church there. Most recent is a photo and text diary of a several week journey in January by four Anglicans in Bradford, which included a 30-hour journey to Kadugli to attend the enthronement of Bishop Andudu. Well worth a visit!

Worth Noting
A callous world: Richard Holloway, writing in The Guardian, reviews A Devil's Chaplain, a new book by Richard Dawkins.

An interview with the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury: The editor of the Daily Telegraph, Charles Moore, interviews Dr Rowan Williams. From the first question 'Have you ever not believed in God?' to the last 'Do you think that [the Prince of Wales] has a serious relationship with his faith?', the interview is compelling reading.

New Archbishop Is Known for Taking Stands: In the New York Times, Peter Steinfels writes: 'No doubt about it, the Most Reverend Rowan Williams, who will be formally enthroned as archbishop of Canterbury on February 27, makes good copy'.
