What's New This Week

ALL THE NEW URLS we receive each week are here. We list two (sometimes three) weeks’ worth, cycling the old ones off each week. As they disappear from this page, you'll find the links moved to their natural home categories in our resource pages.

If you can't find something that was once here, you can look in our archives or try the AO search engine. It searches our entire site and also many important official Anglican sites worldwide.

Week of 9 January 2005

If you should like your website listed here, please use this form to tell us about it. And we always appreciate help keeping links alive and well, so please check your own parish link to make sure it's working. If it doesn't work -- or you find any other link that's broken -- please let us know. Thanks.

Worth Noting
Life on Our Hands: A Christian Perspective on Genetics and Cloning by John Bryant and John Searle and Beyond Belief: Science, Faith and Ethical Challenges by Denis Alexander and Robert S. White are reviewed in the Church Times by Jeremy Craddock. After several well stated misgivings, Mr Craddock says, 'Despite the caveats, both books will help Christians of all flavours with some serious scientific and ethical issues.'

Light Force: The Only Hope for the Middle East, by Brother Andrew and Al Janssen is reviewed in the Church Times by The Revd Garth Hewitt. 'Brother Andrew was in a Messianic fellowship in Israel during the 1980s. He was preaching about his experiences with the suffering Church in Eastern Europe when someone came up to him, and said: "There is a suffering Church right here," and told him about the Palestinian Church. This book is about his journey of discovery of the Palestinian Church and its people ... If there is a flaw in Brother Andrew, it is that he underestimates himself.'
